If you already record your music in a home studio, but you've been frustrated with the result, don't let that discourage you!  Chain-O-Lakes Recording's MixFix is a great resource for remixing and remastering your "less than stellar" home recordings.

The availability of recording technology has been a beautiful thing for many who want to get their music out, but it has come with its share of problems!  Very often, I hear of people who are frustrated with their recordings in one or more of the following ways:

• It sounds quiet and lifeless compared to their other CDs
• It sounds too boomy or too shrill
• It sounds "cluttered", not well balanced
• The effects (like reverb) sound unnatural or out of place

These and others are problems related to mixing and mastering; and although your home studio equipment may be able to handle these tasks, these things can still cause significant problems with your end result.  Simply put, recording music and making it sound great are two different things--you might be great at one, but not necessarily the other.

The good news is that Chain-O-Lakes Recording is equipped to remaster your completed mixes, or even remix your multitrack audio or MIDI tracks!  Getting a fresh set of ears on your material can make a night-and-day difference--possibly the difference between a recording you are embarrased by and one you can be proud of!
